Harwood Racing is based in Nelson and contracted to the Nelson Speedway. Brothers Carey and Shane Harwood race Superstocks at Speedway tracks throughout New Zealand. Both are part of the National Champion Nelson Tigers Superstock team. This site will keep you updated throughout the speedway season of what the team results are and also behind the scenes in the workshop.

Flamecrusher's Safety Seminar
Nelson Speedway Association hosted this seminar last year and found it to be tremendous value to our competitors, attendees were astounded by the information available and how much they learnt about their and other available safety equipment including seats, seat-belts, helmets, neck and head restraints, racing overalls and more

All the major steel work was completed this weekend, Shane Logan and Regan removed and replaced side rails, rear bumper, stays and made new wheels gates in a just over a day. Just some small finishing touches need to be made to the chassis before it gets sent off for blasting and painting. Corey spent the afternoon removing all the decals from the two bodys, ready for sanding and a new coat of paint. |

The engine is out of the car and is awaiting Clint to check it over. I did a bit of damage to it at the Easter meeting. It was good to get out and race a full meeting the week before in Nelson after not racing for over a year. Both the car and I were on the pace by the end of the night. At this stage I won't be racing this coming season. Instead I will concentrate on the website and helping out Shane. But that could change given the right circumstances. |

This is what happens when you have a spare motor lying around, lets get a car to put it in! The original 6 cylinder superstock motor is currently being rebuild by Graeme at Midwest Motors to Stockcar specs and should be back about the same time as the Toyota V8. Shane has sent the diff back to Pete Rees to get the latest updates put on it. Expect to see this car at the front of the pack. But don't worry Shane also wants to test out the strength of it. |
